Our mediators

This engineer/company director has spent his entire career in the construction industry in France and abroad. He managed major construction sites and major subsidiaries of a large Group before buying out his own SME. Since 2012, he has concentrated on Contract Management, particularly for SMEs and SMIs, Mediation and Arbitration throughout France.

Based near Saint Malo in Brittany, Gilles de Bagneux is very familiar with the environment and culture of the sea.

This entrepreneur acquired the SME where he worked in the sales, rental, and after-sales service of handling equipment. He was particularly involved in managing customer/supplier disputes and overseeing internal team operations.

He then served for four years as a judge at the Bourges Commercial Court, handling a wide range of cases related to insolvency proceedings and commercial disputes. During this time, he became deeply aware of the value of inter-business mediation.

Too many cases reach the courts when what the parties truly need is to quickly re-establish dialogue and find ways to collaborate effectively.

In parallel, François is deeply involved in the professional world of light sport sailing. Close to several naval architects, he contributed to the restoration of a Class C yacht, competes in 18-foot catamaran races, and has participated in several Extreme Sailing Series events on Flying Phantoms and in two Eurocat competitions. He has also circumnavigated the islands of Brittany on a Diam 24. His competition record is extensive and far from exhaustive!

With 14 years of experience as a legal counsel and regional legal director for major international groups (Apple, Saipem, Boart Longyear), Faiza now practices as a lawyer at the Paris Bar and as an independent mediator certified by CMAP, CMM, and CEDR. She has worked on numerous international business development and establishment projects across Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. Specializing in contract law and compliance, she supports companies with a strategic approach to litigation, leveraging all available tools, including alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation, arbitration, and conciliation.

Originally from Les Sables d’Olonne and a Tahiti enthusiast at heart, Faiza is passionate about marine environments and dedicates her conflict management and negotiation expertise to serving the “people of the sea.”

“Marine and maritime activities demand special attention to the critical issues of resource preservation and respect for nature. A mediator’s perspective, neutral and attentive to the diverse interests of the parties, is a key driver of change and a tool for fostering harmony amidst often highly contradictory positions that define our times. It is never too late to build dialogue aimed at creating win-win solutions for all parties”

This sailing enthusiast, who lives in Charente-Maritime, became a lawyer and a legal expert in real estate, town planning and construction. After a few years in the profession, she developed a particular interest in alternative dispute resolution and, as a lawyer, began to understand administrative and conventional mediation, before obtaining a DU in mediation and conflict management.

Trained in mediation since 2019 and committed to this effective and recognised alternative dispute resolution method, Laurent has over 30 years’ experience in general management and company chairmanship (including conflict management).

A career spanning several decades in Champagne, managing SMEs and cooperative groups, has enabled Laurent to develop recognised experience in France and abroad, particularly in brand management and marketing in the luxury goods sector, traditional and selective distribution, mass retailing, joint ventures in France and abroad, contract negotiation, etc.

Based in La Trinité sur Mer and a regular sailor, he also has a keen awareness of maritime issues.

An engineer, Philippe has spent his career in the construction industry at Vinci, where he held positions in design, methods, operations, and general management.

Within the group, he also worked in the field of maritime and river works, collaborating with shipowners, stevedores, port managers, project managers, and contracting authorities.

He contributed to the construction of the Port of Réunion and worked on projects at the Port of Cherbourg.

Philippe led Vinci’s subsidiary specializing in maritime and river works, giving him extensive knowledge of French commercial, recreational, and military ports.

He has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Cherbourg and Cotentin.

Since 2006, he has been a member of the Nautes Association, which brings together French waterway transport operators and industries connected to navigation.

Jean-Marie Guilloux has been a member of the Paris Bar since 1999. He holds specialist certificates in intellectual property law and new technologies, information technology and communication law. An accredited mediator with the Paris mediation and arbitration centre (CMAP – CCI Paris). Graduate of the HEC Executive MBA. He joined the Paris Bar after working with major players in the music, live performance and audiovisual industries. In 2017, he took the opportunity to sail across the Atlantic from St Martin to Marseille

CMM Mediator

Trained as an IT engineer, Etienne Iris has devoted his entire professional career to consulting on new digital technologies. A pioneer in project management assistance, he has created, developed and sold two renowned companies in this field.

Etienne is an accredited mediator with the CMAP (Centre de Médiation et d’Arbitrage de Paris) and has been conducting inter-company mediations in the digital sector for 12 years.

Etienne has been with CMM since its inception. An obvious choice for this Breton by adoption, who enjoys sailing whenever he can!

An engineer specialising in mechanics and robotics, he has spent his entire career in the aeronautics and space industries, working for major French players as a programme and sales manager.

Laurent Le Moullec has been a CMAP inter-company mediator since 2022 and certified by ESCP Business School since 2021.

Joining CMM was a natural step for Laurent, who has been immersed in this ecosystem and has extensive experience of industry.

This Breton by birth started sailing at a very early age in Loctudy in the Bigouden region.

From an early age, he has always been drawn to the sea and the stories of sailors, and was quickly hooked on the fine, gliding sensations of light sailing.

Trained as a shipbuilding engineer, he spent a year on board a submarine as part of his studies.

His career path has taken him away from the sea and towards aircraft, although there are many similarities.

Pascal has never stopped sailing, especially in regattas on yachts of all sizes and ages, on ‘almost’ all the seas of the world.

His recent professional activities have sometimes brought him closer to the sea, with assignments for a shipping company and a major French port.

He also supports a number of projects, notably on the fight against plastic at sea.

Pascal has been a mediator since 2013.

Originally from the Saint Malo region and a regular sailor and motorboat enthusiast, Yann divides his time between Brittany and Paris.

He worked for over 20 years for American new technology companies in operational management positions. In 2000, he set up his own consultancy and support firm for managers, and discovered mediation as a stakeholder during an assignment.

Since being certified as a mediator by CMAP in 2018, he has developed and strengthened this practice in three areas: commercial, civil and employment.

Gabriel’s career path, first as a litigation lawyer and then as head of legal affairs in a major energy group, naturally led him to mediation. Faced with the limits of court litigation, he has favoured negotiation, promoting win-win solutions. The CMAP training course in inter-company mediation, taken in 2017, reinforced this inclination. Certified since 2018 and registered as a mediator, he successfully conducted his first judicial mediation in 2020. Convinced of the benefits of mediation, Gabriel continues to practise his profession while putting his expertise at the service of dispute resolution.
