CMM’s aim is to offer an alternative to legal proceedings for the entire maritime world (shipbuilding, management of commercial and pleasure ports, nautical activities, fishing, maritime transport, shellfish farming, biotech, etc.), covering all the situations you are likely to face, enabling you to find the best solution at all times.
The CMM team assists companies in setting up, monitoring and closing the mediation process.
He is selected from the MWC’s list of licensed mediators, based on his experience, the nature of the dispute and the expectations of the parties. The success of mediation depends on the mediator.
The CMM sets a maximum of two months from the appointment of the mediator to try to reach an agreement. This time limit may be extended with the agreement of all. The average duration of a mediation is 16 hours.
The CMM provides all the logistics for the organization of mediations and makes rooms available to the parties for meetings.
If an agreement is reached by the parties, they have the choice of its formalization. In the majority of cases, it will be a transaction within the meaning of article 2044 of the Civil Code. On average, 70% of the parties agree to a mediation. If the parties have not reached an agreement, mediation will have restored communication between them and helped to understand their position.
